Business Development Manager – Flooring & Architectural Products (Alberta)
$85,000 Base + Bonus + Commission
You are a confident, self-driven Business Development Manager ready to grow the Alberta territory. This role suits a resilient, relationship-focused sales professional who thrives in construction and architectural environments and is comfortable with long sales cycles.
The Role
- Target architectural firms, designers, project managers, and flooring dealers
- Manage 12–18 month sales cycles from specification to project completion
- Grow existing accounts and aggressively develop new business
- Deliver product presentations and sell technical solutions
- Travel throughout Alberta; annual North American travel for training/meetings
Who You Are
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Construction Management, or related field OR 5+ years of construction-related business development experience
- Proven success managing large projects with long sales cycles
- Confident, self-starting, and comfortable opening doors
- Strong presentation, communication, and consultative selling skills
- Existing industry relationships preferred
- Team-oriented with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Passionate about environmentally responsible products
Physical Requirements
- Ability to transport samples (lifting, bending required)
- Ability to inspect flooring surfaces, including kneeling or crawling
Compensation & Benefits
- $85,000 base salary plus bonus and commission
