National Bilingual Construction Manager – Commercial Projects
Remote work with extensive travel across Canada
Salary: Approx $150k + Bonus
Synergie is currently seeking a Bilingual Construction Manager responsible for overseeing the design, planning, construction, maintenance, renovation, and repair of company buildings and facilities, in alignment with the corporate real estate strategy. Manages regional construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring delivery within budget and schedule constraints. Actively identifies and implements opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and optimize facility performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with Field Operations and Regional Real Estate Managers to define project scope and requirements.
- Manage full-cycle project delivery — including site selection, lease negotiations, design, construction, and close-out.
- Create conceptual designs and space plans; secure leadership approvals.
- Develop and track project timelines to meet targeted occupancy dates.
- Oversee permitting, entitlements, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Ensure all projects meet branding, safety (IIPP), and security standards.
- Coordinate all project elements: IT, FF&E, signage, phones, and more.
- Provide regular project updates and status reports to stakeholders.
- Manage budgets, vendor bids, and invoice approvals with a focus on cost control and efficiency.
- Build strong relationships with regional architects, contractors, and suppliers.
REQUIREMENTS
- A. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- 5-7 years related experience in commercial construction, managing projects
- Experience working on construction in an industrial/commercial environment for a company with an aggressive growth strategy
- Excellent communication, analytical and organizational skills.
- Microsoft Office (Project, Word, Excel); AutoCAD
- Timberline, Marathon or related software preferred
- Comprehensive knowledge of design and construction techniques, and the ability to analyze and evaluate construction bids
- Fluency in English and French is mandatory
