Outside Sales Representative
Location: Edmonton, AB
Join a growing and stable company as anOutside Sales Representative for a leading distributor of industrial equipment, valves, fittings, and Fire Protection. In this role, you will develop, maintain, and grow customer accounts while achieving sales targets and providing exceptional service. You will play a key role in driving business growth by building strong relationships with new and existing customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, target, and acquire new customer accounts.
- Plan territory, schedule customer calls, and optimize routes to maximize sales.
- Provide accurate sales forecasting and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
- Participate in trade shows and special sales events as required.
- Assist with order desk operations as needed.
- Stay current with company products and offerings.
- Prepare and generate reports as required.
Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in customer service or sales in a related industry, preferably with mechanical/industrial pipe, valve, fitting, or Fire Protection experience.
- College Diploma in Sales/Marketing, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Technologist (CET), Fire Protection Specialist, or related discipline.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints is an asset.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and strong math skills.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own schedule.
- Available for daily travel, including overnight and international travel.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
