Synergie is currently seeking an Industrial Maintenance Millwright for their client in Etobicoke. If you have a strong electrical background, able to troubleshoot and experience with installation, please keep reading!

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Maintain, troubleshoot and repair machines, equipment and other.

· Install, examine, replace or repair machines in a timely manner to maintain production capacity.

· Inspect, lubricate machine part and determine future maintenance requirements.

· Fabricate components to be used in machinery upgrades, improvements and repairs.

· Electrical trouble shooting of PLC controlled equipment.

· Perform preventative maintenance to equipment as required: including electrical repairs, welding and machining as required.

· Read and interpret drawings to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.

· Install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, cable assembles, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.

· Maintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems.

· Use proper lockout/tag out procedures when required

· Additional duties related to this job classification as assigned by Industrial Maintenance Manager

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma.
  • Valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) 433A License is mandatory
  • Experience:
  • 2+ years of mechanical maintenance experience in the corrugated or paper industry or 5+ years in manufacturing.
  • Strong mechanical and technical background.
  • Strong electrical troubleshooting and installation skills.
  • Experience with motor alignment, equipment disassembly/reassembly, and setting components to prescribed tolerances.
  • Exposure to mechanical devices, pneumatic controls, welding/cutting, machining, and strong fabrication skills.
  • Must have a full set of metric and standard tools (up to 24 mm / 1″) required for maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, electrical drawings, and mechanical diagrams.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals.
  • Able to use measuring equipment with precision to 0.0001″.
  • Excellent understanding of electrical components and PLC-controlled equipment troubleshooting.
  • Ability to follow written, oral, or diagram-based instructions.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.
  • Availability to work Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–3 p.m., with overtime as required.
  • Valid driver’s license.
