$65,000 – $75,000/year

As a key member of the logistics team, this position ensures the accurate and timely movement of products from suppliers to the customer distribution site, maintaining proper merchandise flow.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

  • Review inventory levels in conjunction with sales forecasts, to determine purchasing needs
  • Prepare and forward order placements
  • Confirm and arrange vessel shipping dates
  • Work with logistics team to consolidate shipments
  • Correspond with local freight company for delivery of domestic orders
  • Communicate with 3rd party QC firms to arrange inspection of finished goods

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

  • University degree or college diploma or equivalent work experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role
  • Advanced computer skills are required including experience working with databases and web-based retail vendor portals
  • Excellent communication skills for dealing with suppliers, transportation and key customer contacts
  • Experience dealing with vendors overseas or in China would be a strong asset.
  • Experience in demand planning and forecasting, monitoring inventory levels, submitting purchase orders to suppliers, coordinating overseas and local delivery transportation
  • Fluency in Mandarin would be a strong asset
  • Canadian vendor relations experience would be an asset
